Sentence for 10th October 2009

Sentence: Woke up this morning and found out my voice wasn't quite right... and I had to sing with the other Rotaract BODs later tonight!

Lost my voice when I woke up this morning... Thanks to the Sichuan Spicy soup I had the previous night at Little China.

Had the honor to take a group photo with the Rotary District Governor, flew in from Malacca, and also with the Dean of Curtin University. I actually woke up late and only in time for the photo session, haha.

Then had a very messed up rehearsal for our group song, Breaking Free. But we had it sorted out anyway. We settled with everyone taking a set of lyrics up to the stage. Will not look nice but is a lot better than nothing.

Then later at night I had to attend the 2nd Joint Installation of the Rotary Family, 2009. I got free tix since I am on of the BOD, so it was ok... at least the food was a gazillion times better than Curtin Prom 2009! And due to short of time, we didn't went on stage to perform! Woots!

Once again sorry for the absence of photos... waiting those to be uploaded and tagged on Facebook. Please check back at a later date.

Some funny stuff happened there. For one, PP William Chien was invited on stage to become a temporary MC and lucky-draw-boy, haha. I don't know if anyone took a photo of him on stage but he wore a simple buttoned t-shirt and shorts, you imaging that yourself.

Then there was this lucky draw tickets, each RM5 and the grand price was an Acer 14 inch laltop, followed by a Acer Netbook, an 8 megapix digicam and other 27 prices. IPP Ian Tan bought 2 tix, 1887 and 1888 for the draw... and ended up 1889 got the digicam. We all laughed at him for being out of luck, including PP William, he in fact laughed the loudest. But little did he know... he was forced to buy 10 tix from Rotary, numbered 2881-2890, that's RM50. When the number was drawn for the Acer Netbook prize, we all waited with batted breath as the number was announced. It was 2... 8... 8... *drum rolls*... 0! He had like number 1-9, meaning 90% chance the netbook could be his. But his luck was right down the gutter and into the sewage tank, the number was 0, the only number 288X which he didn't have. So much for "investing" Rm50, haha.
